By all standards, 2013 was a year of growth and improvement at Lieberman Technologies. We added new staff, new office space, and new services, and our staff continues to be deeply involved in the Tri-State community. Now that we’ve come to the end of the year, we thought we’d take a look back at 2013 and highlight some of the milestones we’ve experienced this year.
A Year of Growth
Several things happened in tandem that caused our staff numbers to increase by nearly 50%. We expanded our service offerings to include Digital Marketing and Telecom, furthering our abilities to serve the Evansville-area business community with technology services. In order to offer these new services, we made several new hires:
- Karen Cheaney – Sales
- Zac Parsons – Digital Marketing
- Shane Provost – Web Development
- Dan Arbaugh – Web Development
- Ben Luttrull – Web and Digital Marketing
- Jonathon Williams – Software Applications Development
- Robert Morgan – Software Applications Development
- Mary Christian – Administrative Support
And since adding all of these fine folks to our staff roster meant that we needed more work stations, we embarked upon a remodel and expansion of our office space (check out the photos on Facebook). It was a bit of a challenge to remain productive with construction in our midst, and there was a considerable shifting of offices during the process, but everyone ended up with either new or updated office space. Once the dust settled, we invited the business community to join us in celebrating our new space by hosting an Open House.
A Year of Community Involvement
Our staff here at Lieberman Technologies may be a diverse bunch, but we share the conviction that our communities are shaped by the people who are willing to step up and serve others. As a group, our involvement in community programs is lengthy: USI track and field, SW Indiana Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, SWIRCA, Holly House, Habitat for Humanity, Evansville Bicycle Club, Indiana Nature Conservancy, Justice ministry for St Mary’s Catholic Church, Missions ministry for Crossroads Christian Church, Holy Redeemer Church, Youth First, Tech on Tap, Evansville Interfaith Alliance, Evansville Voice Initiative, BNI, Gilda’s Club, Albion Fellows, and the Evansville Rescue Mission. Several of our staffers serve as board members for community groups: Rotary, Community Marriage Builders, WNIN, YMCA, Temple Adath B’nai Israel, Mindful Heart Buddha Sangha, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Castle High School Band Boosters, Impact Ministries, and Seed 4 Life.
A Year of Innovation
You would expect a tech company to stay on top of trends in IT, and 2013 has been filled with new challenges and exciting changes. Our Automated Tax Warrant System, which helps Sheriff Departments throughout the state of Indiana issue and track tax warrants, made the move to the cloud this year, which helps to simplify many of the processes in the system. Lieberman Technologies also lent our expertise to this year’s Startup Weekend as an event sponsor, as well as loaning out some of our staff to take part in the event as mentors and coaches. And as always, we helped our clients with custom software applications and web development. It’s what we do.
Looking Ahead
Part of moving forward is knowing where you’ve been, and as we look into 2014 we remain committed to becoming the best tech company in the Tri-State area. We want to continue to grow and plan on deeper involvement in digital marketing, telecom, web development, and managed services. We’re also planning on in-house improvements, including implementing new technology business management software to help our internal business run more smoothly.
All in all, we’re looking forward to 2014 and the great things that will surely come our way in the next twelve months. To our clients and business partners, we thank you for helping to make 2013 such a great year. To our future customers, we look forward to helping serve your business and technology needs in the year to come.
