One: How did your career path bring you to LT?
My journey has been an array of steps working towards a goal and I found my home at LT. I started doing freelance web design/development in college and was able to learn a ton about SEO in my first position after graduation. From there I transitioned into an agency setting. Through the opportunity hidden amongst all the chaos in choosing among three career-guiding decisions, I joined the team at LT as a Senior Web Specialist. Joining LT has been the best professional decision I’ve made to date.
Two: What’s your favorite thing about working at LT?
I am empowered by my peers to be a key asset of the company. We are truly a team and challenge each other to do better, grow, and have fun at what we do. You know you are doing something right when it’s fun to come to work.
Three: Tell us about yourself – where you grew up, your family, your education, etc.
I grew up on a farm in a small town in rural central Kentucky (Go Big Blue!). The labor involved in raising tobacco and livestock will teach you a lot about yourself and the value of a hard day’s work. Then the University of Evansville won me over because of opportunity to attend Harlaxton College (which I did). At UofE, I also met my wife. We decided to stay in Evansville and have been here ever since.
Four: What does life look like away from the office?
Outside of work I am a pretty big sports fan and enjoy spending as much time with my family as possible. Life-long and diehard UK basketball and Cincinnati Bengals fan. I also volunteer as a web administrator for several non-profits and coach youth rec soccer.
Four and a Half:
What sports team do you love to see lose?
Duke. Like I said, an obsessive UK fan.
