|Position/Job Title:||Web/Media Specialist|
|Degree(s)/Certification(s):||Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Classical Studies (Oh Yes!)|
|LT Team Member Since:||2013|
|Main Job Responsibility:||I work on WordPress websites for most of my day. I also do a huge variety of things like troubleshooting website problems, publishing our apps to the various app stores, and background updates to our clients' websites as new versions of software come out.|
One: How did your career path bring you to LT?
I was working for a non-profit and freelancing on the side. Pat Heck was acting as a proxy for someone that was making a technology donation to the charity, and as we were talking about how the donation would be used, he found out I was doing freelance web work. “Why are you looking for clients? Come work for us!” he said. About 18 months later, I became a real, full-time employee.
Two: What’s your favorite thing about working at LT?
The incredible team. They peg the needle as far as geekery goes, but they all help each other out and cheer each other on so much. Not a day goes by without a high-five, even though we are doing some really hard work.
Three: Tell us about yourself.
I grew up and now live like this: Westside Evansville, Southside Evansville, Eastside Evansville, and Downtown Evansville. I get lost if I have to travel north of Diamond Ave. I have also lived in Germany, Turkey, and one of the Stans that no one has ever heard of.
Four: What does life look like away from the office?
I have five kids, which means I still play with toys and their hobbies are really my hobbies, so I’m glad they like to play music, wood carve, build Lego creations, and draw. I am the fill-in preacher at a few local churches, and I really enjoy that too.
Four and a Half: What is the difference between being wealthy and being rich?
Wealthy is having a lot of stuff, being rich means being full of butter and cream.
